Use Hyper on Android when you need fast join, core in-call actions, or quick recap access from a phone or tablet. This page explains the mobile-first workflow, the Android-specific checks worth doing before a meeting, and the limits that still make desktop the better choice for some tasks.

  • Grant microphone, camera, and notification permissions before the first call.
  • Reconfirm Bluetooth and wired-audio routing after changing accessories or vehicles.
  • Test at least one real join flow on the device model your team relies on, because vendor behavior can differ.
  • Join quickly from meeting links or upcoming workspace entries.
  • Manage the most important in-call actions while traveling or away from a laptop.
  • Review summary and search output when fast mobile follow-up is enough.
  • Android clients prioritize the core meeting bar, admissions, and compact follow-up.
  • Device vendor differences can affect permissions, Bluetooth routing, and camera behavior.
  • Dense admin and recap editing workflows are still easier on larger clients.
  • Reminder and follow-up behavior depends on both workspace settings and Android notification permissions.
  • If the device places the app in the background aggressively, re-check mic, camera, and audio state when you return to the meeting.
  • For long recap editing or policy changes, switch to desktop or web instead of forcing the mobile layout to do too much.

The device joins the meeting, but Bluetooth audio is wrong

  • Re-open audio or device controls after pairing changes.
  • Test once on the device speaker or a wired path to confirm whether the issue is Android routing or meeting quality.
  • If the audio path keeps flipping, remove unused Bluetooth accessories before retrying.

The app opens, but camera or microphone access fails

  • Check Android permission settings for the app, not only the browser or meeting link.
  • Retry the meeting after granting the permission instead of waiting for the original prompt to reappear.
  • If vendor battery or privacy settings are limiting background behavior, exclude the app long enough to complete the test.
