Agendas

Preview Roles: Host, Co-host Platforms: Web, Mac, Windows, Linux Reviewed: 2026-03-14

Agenda support in Hyper is built for teams that run the same kinds of meetings repeatedly and want preparation to happen inside the meeting tool, not in a separate document.

Use agendas when you want a meeting link, pre-read context, time-boxed topics, and follow-up artifacts to stay connected from the first invite through the last action item.

Templates, topics, owners, and timing live next to date, recurrence, and access controls instead of in a separate planning tool.

When to use this

  • You want recurring meetings to feel consistent across weeks and owners.
  • You need attendees to add topics before the call instead of arriving cold.
  • You want the agenda to show up in prep and calendar workflows automatically.

Before you start

  • Confirm the meeting owner has edit rights for the agenda and template library.
  • Decide whether invitees can edit the agenda or only comment before the call.
  • If you rely on calendar distribution, verify the connected calendar is writable.

Settings and options

Template behavior

  • Use a team template when you want the same structure reused across a series of meetings.
  • Use a private template when the structure is personal, sensitive, or still being refined.
  • Attach standard owners and time blocks to templates when you want less setup per meeting.

Agenda visibility

  • Keep the agenda attendee-visible when you want everyone to prep in advance.
  • Restrict agenda editing for high-signal reviews or customer calls where the owner controls flow.
  • Link related docs and previous notes in the agenda so prep is one click instead of a scavenger hunt.

What this feature helps with

Collaborative editing

Questions that come up often

Can I create custom templates?

Yes. Create any template from scratch or save an existing agenda as a reusable template. Templates can be shared with your team or kept private.

How do agendas connect to the calendar?

When you create an agenda for a meeting, it's automatically attached to the calendar invite. Attendees see it before joining.

Can multiple people edit the agenda?

Yes. All invited participants can add or edit agenda items before the meeting starts. Changes sync in real time.

Related tasks

Limitations and rollout notes

  • Template libraries and collaborative agenda editing may roll out by workspace.
  • Calendar attachments depend on the provider permissions granted to Hyper.

Troubleshooting

Attendees say they cannot see the agenda

  • Check the meeting-level visibility and confirm the agenda is shared with invitees rather than owners only.
  • Verify the calendar event updated after the last edit if you expect the agenda link there.
  • Send the Hyper meeting page link directly when the external event body has not refreshed yet.

The wrong template keeps appearing

  • Review whether the meeting series is reusing a previous template by default.
  • Save the correct template to the meeting series after editing it once.
  • Rename older templates clearly so organizers stop picking the wrong one.
